Teenager wins DVD court battle. With no evidence that Mr Johansen was engaged in piracy or that he was aiding others to illegally copy disks the Norwegian court had no choice but to acquit the teenager.

With this ruling and the Elcomsoft ruling last month, it appears that the courts throughout the world are trying to restore some balance that the legislatures have taken away with regard to copyright.
A big win for fair use rights, at least in Norway.
