Debt Relief
BBC: G7 finance ministers have backed plans to write off up to 100% of the debts of some of the world’s poorest countries.
If this turns out to be more than idle talk (like in 2000 when the world’s nations pledged to do effectively the same thing), it will be welcome news. It is immoral for the wealthiest nations to hold this large debt over the heads of the poorest.
