It looks like we may get our indictments after all:
The Washington Note has an “uber-insider source” that says multiple indictments in the CIA leak case will be filed tomorrow. The targets received their letters today. A press conference is scheduled for Thursday.
In case you’re wondering where “Fitzmas” comes from - it’s Daily Kos’ shorthand for the day Plame leak case prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald hands down indictments. Every time I read it I can’t help but chuckle.
Of course, when I think about it for a second, the fact that several of our country’s top officials may have violated their duty to the American people by breaking the laws of the land and then covering it up isn’t terribly funny. But it would be sweet to bring to justice the gang of criminals who lied us into an unjust and immoral war.
Oh, and for the record, lying, destroying another’s career, and threatening the lives of numerous people to get political payback isn’t a very Christian thing to do.
